Hire Controller and Sales Associate

We realise people are an integral part of our success. Therefore we are looking to recruit a Hire & Sales Controller to join our small team in a long standing, hands on family run business.

You will be at the forefront of customer interaction delivering knowledge and excellent customer service for all retail and trade customers with the outlook to propel sales and exceed customer service expectations, developing key relationships and trust.

In this role you will be expected to complete the entire hire process from receiving the initial enquiry through to the completion of the hire. Work closely with managerial, transport and mechanical departments to deliver the service our customers require.

Role, Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain good verbal and written communication skills.
• Be physically fit.
• Be mechanically competent.
• Ability to communicate well with a varied customer base domestic and commercial.
• Have a strong commitment to develop and learn.
• Retain and relay machine specific information to customers regularly.
• Replenish stock and general housekeeping duties.
• Handle cash and card transactions; be numerically proficient.
• Being computer literate is essential.

Salary:

• Competitive

Working Hours:

07:00 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday

07:00 - 18:00 Friday

No Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays

Ideal but not essential:

• Previous experience working within the hire industry.
• Qualifications relating to the hire, mechanical or commercial industry.
• Similar sales or operational roles.
• Previous knowledge and experience of tools is an advantage.

Commute and Parking:

• Near to Junction 4a of the M3 with Blackwater train station a 3-5 minute walk away.
• We are based on a large busy premises in a built up area with surrounding residential roads. Be advised parking on site isn't available.

Experience in this role is not necessary but is an advantage, the most important thing is that you are willing to learn.
